This 21-day online retreat is designed to bring Reiki people together from around the world, who were trained in many different ways, to work together on upholding the most sacred aspects of the Usui System of Natural Healing.

In this workshop we will explore the most vitally important practices, often left out of or minimized in Reiki training today.

We will spend 21 days, together, shifting our energy fields and aligning ourselves with the practice of Reiki as a spiritual path.

We will work with:

  • The daily meditation Usui and his students observed

  • The pillars of Reiki, as taught by Usui

  • The Reiki principles, as taught by Usui - as a daily devotional practice

  • Unlocking the parable of what we all collectively know as “the Reiki Story.”

If any of this sounds new to you, you are not alone! Through my 22 years since I began my Reiki training, I have come across bits and pieces of these things along the way, through Reiki shares, through books, and through initiation. Sometimes formal, sometimes rather informal. However, each of these facets listed above acted like keys to unlock the secretes of Reiki, which were hidden in plain sight.

For some unknown reason, the oral tradition of Reiki lacks the emphasis on these most important facets. Reiki practitioners, for example, are told once they have an attunement, they are the same as every other Reiki practitioner of that level. They are told that the attunement makes them a Reiki practitioner. Not so! Well, not exactly so, anyway…

Attunements are initiations; powerful spiritual experiences; they open you up to the possibilities that were innate within you. But practice! That’s what makes you a Reiki Practitioner!

Usui did attune his students. Not once per level. But at each meeting! Also, he didn’t say “okay, now you’re a Reiki this or that, go forth and work on people!” He had his students practice a very specific Ki cultivating meditation, every day. And, it is through this practice, that one becomes a better channel for the energy, a more intuitive healer, a more mindful practitioner.

Usui’s system was a spiritual practice. And, as such, it involved daily practice - I don’t mean he saw clients every single day of the week, no one knows how often he worked on others. But we do know he taught his students (and his clients) daily practices which where a major part of his system. You didn’t just get a Reiki session and Voilà. You practiced Reiki, every day.

Reiki isn’t just the table session or the self-healing hand positions. Reiki is a daily practice of connecting to and cultivating the energy, of affirming the Reiki principles, and teaching our clients these methods.

If you have ever thought that Reiki was supposed to be this magic bullet of miraculous healing only to find that when you worked on someone or someone worked on you, you weren’t permanently cured of all of your woes - and let’s face it, all of us have had this experience - it’s because most modern Reiki practitioners are missing the point! We are taught to miss the point!

Now this is not to say that all modern Reiki is bad. Or that only the traditional Japanese style of Reiki was good. Not at all!

This workshop is about healing the branches of the Reiki lineage, filling in the missing gaps in our tradition, and reinvigorating YOUR PRACTICE!

This workshop will cover simple things that all Reiki practitioners can do to enhance their practice, turn Reiki from an awesome thing they do sometimes… into a daily devotional practice that, in the words of Usui, is the “secret method of inviting blessings” and the “spiritual medicine for all ailments.”
